Junoimzoomin Debuts With Top Mark in Ontario Sires Stakes Futurity Trials

AJAX, ONT—JULY 23, 2017—In just her first career start, Junoimzoomin posted a wire-to-wire win, under jockey Chelsey Willick, to get the top qualifying time for the $55,000 Ontario Sires Stakes Futurity at Ajax Downs.

Junoimzoomin completed the 330 yards in :17.440 seconds, into a 9-mph crosswind, to defeat Smoakn Gun by 1¼ lengths.

A homebred daughter of Junos Black races for owner/breeder Christine Tavares. The sorrel filly was saddled in her first career start by trainer Joe Tavares. She is out of the Shazoom mare Jessshazoom.

Hanover Hill Sugar (#4) gets her head in front of Royal Hatrick(#5) and Too Much White(#3) in the final trial.

Trainer Tavares, who qualified three finalists to futurity from Sunday's three trials, is also the trainer of second fastest qualifier Hanover Hill Sugar. The daughter of Make Out Artist was the second winner for jockey Willick and completed the course in :17.510 seconds.

Hanover Hill Sugar is a homebred racing for owner/breeder Picov Cattle Company. This was also the first career start for the filly out of the Sugarman Perry mare Secret Sugarwoman.
