Heza Dynasty Easy Winner In $50,000 El Moro De Cumpas Stakes

DOUGLAS, AZ—MAY 23, 2016—Heza Dynasty, under jockey Martin Osuna, took control at the midway point then rolled to a one-length margin over Rum Chata in the $50,000 El Moro De Cumpas Stakes at the Cochise County Fairground in Douglas, Arizona Sunday afternoon. Corona The Cat finished 1¼ lengths back in the show position.

Saddled by trainer Tomas Moreno, Heza Dynasty got his third win in three starts this season for owner Carlos Manuel Reyes. The 5-year-old son of leading sire FDD Dynasty covered the 400 yards in :19.50 seconds.

Bred in California by Vessels Stallion Farm, from the Mr Jess Perry mare Da One, Heza Dynasty earned $27,500 to boost his career earnings mark to $45,256. He has compiled a (17) 5-1-3 record.

Fastest qualifier Rum Chata had the lead early but settled for second place to earn $10,000. The 4-year-old daughter of leading sire Volcom races for owner Paola Torres. Mario Loza saddled third place finisher Corona The Cat for owner Ugo DeLa Torre and San Gregorio Racing Stable, Inc. Rodolfo Arvizu had the riding call aboard the Corona Cartel 4-year-old out of Higher Fire, by Walk Thru Fire. Bred in Oklahoma by Julianna Hawn Holt, the bay colt has picked up $5,000 for bring his bankroll to more than $201,000.
