Executive Trust Splashes To Herman Jefferson Stakes Win

HOBBS, NM—OCTOBER 4, 2015—Tracking the pace in the early going under jockey Ruby Gonzalez, Executive Trust cleared the field down the stretch while positing a 1¼ length win over Kingsbury. Famous Edge Of Glory finished 2½ lengths behind in the show position.

Saddled by Guadalupe Munoz, Jr. Executive Trust completed the 870 yards over a sloppy sealed track in :46.496 seconds. The $33,000 winner's purse boosted the graded stakes winner's boosted his earnings total to $181,017. It was his first start since a second place effort in a Remington Park stakes on May 30.

Sherree Meridyth owns the eight-time winning son of multiple stakes sire Executive Menace from the Relagate (TB) mare Entrust. Scarlett Hill Farm, Inc. bred the gray 4-year-old in Texas.

Tony Sedillo conditions Kingsbury, a New Mexico-bred son of leading sire FDD Dynasty from the Devon Lane (TB) mare Corona Lane. Owned by Sedillo, Tommy Galvez and Javier Beltran the graded stakes-placed gelding earned $12,100. Rafter W Ranch bred Kingsbury.

Famous Edge Of Glory races for owner Richard Ford and trainer Lonnie Vaughn. Jockey Irwin Rosendo rode the One Famous Eagle gelding out of Shake Em Rita Ballou, by Royal Shake Em. Bred in Texas by Gary and Patty Petersen, Famous Edge Of Gory picked up $5,500 for the effort.

Tres Primeros, Painted Josy, Whiteface Eagle, Emperor Valerian and An Absolut Diamond completed the field.
