Ruidoso Sale Graduate Top Remington Schooling Races on Tuesday, Gerald Reed Saddles Five Winners

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—MARCH 3, 2015—Offspring sired by Lazy E Ranch stallions dominated eight schooling races for two-year-olds today (Tuesday) at Remington Park by clocking the top four recorded times. Trainer Gerald Reed saddled five of nine schooling race winners on the card for Reed Land & Cattle Co.

Ruidoso summer sale graduates Streakin Wagon and Wizard Of Ease dueled for the lead in Race 3. Streakin Wagon shook clear of his rival in the final yards to post a half-length win and the top time of :13.50 seconds (hand-timed) into a 15 mph headwind for the 250 yards.

Ed Hardy conditions the Pyc Paint Your Wagon colt out of the G2-placed Streakin La Jolla mare Streakin La Tac. The $45,000 purchase from the Roger Daly, Agent consignment is a half-brother to Golden State Million Futurity(G1) winner Turbulent Times ($564,056), G2 winner Testing The Ice ($295,598) and G2-placed Eyesa La Tac ($121,107). Debbie Strebig is the breeder.

Wizard Of Ease, a half-brother to Rainbow Futurity(G1) winner Zoomin With Ease, broke-in at the start but straighten out to challenge the leader. His time of :13.58 held up as the third fastest from the 53 two-year-olds who participated. The Corona Cartel colt, out of Ruidoso Futurity(G1) winner All About Ease, was a $150,000 repurchase for owner/breeder Bobby D. Cox. John Buchanan is the trainer.

Gerald Reed saddled a homebred, I No Shes A Hot Mess, for Reed Land & Cattle to an impressive two-length win in Race 2. The filly, by first crop sire Louisiana Senator broke sharp and cruised home easily to get the second fastest clocking of :13.56 seconds. Her dam is the RG2 winner Dm Hot Hot Hot ($177,897). This is the family of Champion Moongoose Jet Eye ($447,550).

Other winners for Reed Land & Cattle Tuesday were Race 6-Pryme Time, Race 7-Fire Em Up Jess, Race 8-A Hot Senator Girl and Race 1-Rock Me Momma.

In Race 5, Valiant Norther, a homebred for Reliance Ranches, was hustled from the middle of the track into contention where he took advantage in the closing yards to win by one length. Ed Hardy conditions the gelding that clocked the fourth fastest time of :13.65 seconds. By leading sire Valiant Hero, Valiant Norther is out Rainbow Juvenile Invitational finalist Fast Red Rose, by Mr Jess Perry. The second dam is the Heritage Place Futurity (G1) winner and multiple stakes producer Fast First Prize ($244,929).

Pyc Paint Your Wagon and Louisiana Senator were the only stallions with multiple winners on the 9 Race card today, getting two apiece.
