Bestbudde Remains Undefeated Following Victoria Ennis Memorial Stakes Win

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—APRIL 18, 2014—Two-year-old paint Bestbudde kept his record perfect at 2-for-2 Friday night after handily defeating a full field in the $22,500 Victoria Ennis Memorial Stakes at Remington Park.

Under jockey Russel Hadley the Country Quick Dash took command early before pulling away to a 1-¼ length win over Miss Movin On. Bp Baileys Success finished a head back in the show position. The sorrel completed the 330 yards in :16.963 seconds to pocket $16,230 for the win, pushing his career total nearly $20,000.

Eddie Lee Willis conditions Bestbudde for owner Joni Beth Willis, Jessica Crites and Annette Hughes. Gary Vaughn bred the gelding in Oklahoma.

Wade Leggett owns Miss Movin On, an Ivory James filly from the Texas Hero mare Texas Fourwinds. Dee Keener saddled with G.R. Carter, Jr. riding. Charles Leggett is the breeder.

Luis Villafranco conditioned Bill Price's homebred Cartel Success filly Bp Bailey Success. Kenny Muntz rode the Oklahoma-bred from the Real Easy Cash mare Baileys N Sunsets.

Its Anyones Game, Explosive Deer Bug, Cant Be Caught, Lady Joy, Reckless Abandon, Hemi Wagon and Money My Way completed the field.

Saturday night is one of the biggest racing programs of the season featuring Oklahoma-breds in the restricted Grade 3, $791,000 Remington Park Futurity and the restricted Grade 3, $298,000 Remington Park Derby. Also on the program, the Grade 2, $50,000 Bob Moore Memorial Stakes, the $70,000 Laico Bird Stakes for Oklahoma-breds and the Grade 1, $35,000 Mister Lewie Memorial Stakes for Paints and Appaloosas.

The first race on Saturday is at 6pm. Sunday afternoon racing begins at 1:30pm.
