GRAND PRAIRIE, TX–NOVEMBER 11, 2025—The curtain falls on the 2025 racing season at Lone Star Park with an electric twelve-race card on tap, capped by five prestigious stakes events. The evening’s first post is set for 6:05 PM (CST), with races seven through eleven highlighting the final night of championship-caliber competition.

The stakes lineup features the $47,921 Texas Juvenile Stakes, the $247,588 Purina Feeds Texas Classic Oaks, the $281,505 G1 Texas Classic Derby, the $100,000 G1 Refrigerator Championship Stakes, and the grand finale—the $910,508 G1 Texas Classic Futurity.

In race eight, the Purina Feeds Texas Classic Oaks brings together ten talented three-year-old fillies set to contest 400 yards.

Headlining the field is Rainbow of Diamonds, the 5-2 morning line favorite, who impressed with the fastest qualifying time after defeating Eyesa Wagon My Tale by a half-length in her trial heat. The Apollitical Blood filly has proven her class throughout the year, with notable finishes in both the G2 Heritage Place Oaks (runner-up) and the G1 All American Oaks (fourth), boosting her career earnings to $250,334.

Bred in Oklahoma by Danny Joe Miller and owned by Valeriano Racing Stables, LLC, Rainbow of Diamonds will break from post five for trainer Victor H. Rodriguez-Flores with leading rider Francisco Calderon aboard.

The ninth race showcases the G1 $281,505 Texas Classic Derby, a 440-yard showdown featuring the ten fastest qualifiers from the October 25 trials.

The 5-2 morning line favorite Kj Born To Be Wild enters off a commanding half-length trial win over Hovland, clocking the fastest qualifying time. The Apollitical Jess gelding has made his mark this season with strong showings in the G1 Ruidoso Derby and the G1 All American Derby, where he finished third.

Bred in Arizona by his owners, Kathy and John Lee and Ruben Mares, he has already banked $221,456. Trainer Wesley T. Giles will saddle him from the outside post ten with jockey Justine Klaiber in the irons.

Race ten brings forth the G1 $100,000 Refrigerator Championship Stakes, an elite 440-yard test for three-year-olds and up.

From the rail, 5-2 morning line favorite Apollitical Ike looks to continue his consistent form. The four-year-old son of Apollitical Blood, out of Eye This Candy by Pyc Paint Your Wagon, was bred in Texas by Mike and Leslie Turner and races for owner Edgar A. Moreno under the care of trainer Victor Oviedo. H. J. Hernandez retains the mount.

Challenging him will be Ima Chili, the 3-1 second choice, who comes off consecutive victories in the G2 B.F. Phillips, Jr. Stakes and the Dr. Glenn Blodgett Stakes. The Chilitos gelding, bred in Texas by Sarah Huskey, races for owner Darrell L. Hooper and trainer Zackery N. Rios, with jockey Nestor Duran aboard from post eight.

The night culminates with the G1 $910,508 Texas Classic Futurity, the richest race of the meet, set to go off at approximately 10:25 PM. The field features the ten fastest two-year-olds from the October 24 trials.

Leading the way at 9-5 morning line odds is Gf Shes Sinful, who dominated her trial by 2 ¾ lengths to post the fastest qualifying time. The daughter of Dulce Sin Tacha, out of Bf Fooserageous by Foose, was bred in Oklahoma by Kevin A. Birrell and races for All In Partners. Trained by Wesley T. Giles, she’ll start from post three with Emilio Tapia in the saddle.

Trainer Dee Keener counters with Jc Speeding, the 5-2 second choice, who rallied impressively to qualify second-fastest. The dual-registered Chilitos colt has won five of seven starts and earned $163,341 for owners Planefun, LLC. Bred in Oklahoma by Richard Joneson, he’ll start from post eight with regular rider James A. Flores aboard.

With five significant stakes and over $1.5 million in total purse money on the line, Lone Star Park’s final card of the season promises a thrilling night of speed, talent, and championship drama to close out another unforgettable year of Quarter Horse racing in Texas.
