OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—APRIL 18, 2019—After coming off a victory in December in the Grade 1 Championship At Sunland Park, to remain undefeated in 2018, the connections of former World Champion Jessies First Down are waiting to decide on which race to make his 2019 debut in.

With nearly a four-month layoff since his December 30th romp in the Championship At Sunland, the FDD Dynasty gelding has been back at Remington Park at the barn of trainer James Padgett, II with his connections hoping to continue his unbeaten streak of the 2019 racing season.

Today (Thursday) at Remington Park in Oklahoma City the two-time World Champion worked 330-yards in :17.38 seconds with his regular rider, former AQHA Racing Champion Jockey, Rodrigo Vallejo in the irons.

"It was a decent workout for him," Padgett said. "We haven’t decided exactly what we are going to do this meet with him. If he comes back well from this workout, we could possibly go in the Leo Stakes (G1) with him. It is also entirely possible that we could just train him up to the Remington Park Championship (G1). We are just going to have to see how it unfolds for him before we make the decision."

Jessies First Down has a bankroll currently of $1,624,002, and sits in 22nd on the all-time earnings list. In 2018, the FDD Dynasty gelding won 4 straight grade one races, and if he is able to capture the 2019 edition of the Remington Park Invitational Championship(G1) he will have captured a total of ten G1 races in his career.
