LOS ALAMITOS, CA-JANUARY 22, 2019-The top five finishers from each of the two trials to the Grade 1 Brad McKinzie Los Alamitos Winter Championship held on Sunday have been selected by the racing stewards to compete in the 400-yard final to be held on Sunday, February 10.

The method of selection is in accordance to the rules and regulations printed on the entry blank to the 2019 Brad McKinzie Los Alamitos Winter Championship. The rules and regulations state that: "All horses shall be selected on a time trial basis, however should variable exist which would prevent this from being feasible, the stewards may then select the finalists in their order of finish in the trials."

The application of the rule was necessary due to a malfunction with the electric timer in the second Winter Championship trial.

The top five finishers from the first trial were Zoomin For Spuds, Tarzanito, LD Is Back, Chance To Fire and Eyes The Favorite. The top five finishers from the second trial were He Looks Hot, Da One Two Special, Katies Easy Moves, Yanque, My Favorite Check.
