LOS ALAMITOS, CA—JANUARY 18, 2019—Los Alamitos Race Course, which conducts year-round nighttime Quarter Horse and Thoroughbred racing, will have two rare weekend nights off on Saturday, February 2nd and Sunday, February 3rd in order to conduct its annual track renovation. Live racing will be held at Los Alamitos on Friday night, February 1st with the usual first post time of 7 p.m.

Los Alamitos will be open during the daytime on both February 2-3 for Thoroughbred simulcasting from Santa Anita, Golden Gate, Aqueduct, Gulfstream, Turfway Park, and more. Los Alamitos will remain open for simulcasting only of Australian racing and Cal Expo harness on Saturday night, February 2. As in previous years, Los Alamitos will be closed on Super Bowl Sunday night on February 3.

The track will be closed for the renovation after the morning workouts are completed on February 2. The track is scheduled to reopen on Thursday morning, February 7. Live night racing at Los Alamitos will then resume on Friday, February 8. All other racing programs remain as scheduled. For more information, please call 714-820-2690.
