Services Set Thursday For Longtime Horseman James Ashley Baucom, Sr.

ANDREWS,TX—OCTOBER 31, 2018—Services will be held Thursday in Andrews, Texas for longtime horseman James Ashley Baucom, Sr. Baucom, 70 of Andrews, passed away on Monday (Oct. 29).

Rev. Kevin Covington will officiate the 10:00 AM celebration of life for family and friends at McNett Funeral Home Chapel located at 705 North Main Street in Andrews. Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Saturday (Nov. 3) in the Ringling Memorial Cemetery, Ringling, Oklahoma under the personal care of McNett Funeral.

The family will receive friends today (Oct. 31) from 5–7 PM at the funeral home.

James was born on September 7, 1948 in Waurika, Oklahoma to James Leonard and Velma Lavon Lyons Baucom.

James graduated from Andrews High School in 1966. He worked as a consultant in the oil and gas business. He liked to Golf, and enjoyed going to the Fisher Ranch to ride horses and rope with friends. He had been in the horse racing business for several years. James was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Barbara Kirk.

He is survived by a special friend, Kendall Robertson of Andrews, three sons, James Ashley Baucom, Jr. and wife Sonya of Alvin, Texas, John Baucom and wife Patti of Pinehurst, Texas and Jimmy Mack Clayton and wife Pam of Magnolia, Texas, and nine grandchildren.
