Oklahoma Horse Breeder Jim Campbell Passes December 29

HASKELL, OK—JANUARY 1, 2018—Jimmie Lee "Jim" Campbell of Haskell, Oklahoma died Friday, December 29, at his home surrounded by family.

He was born November 13, 1934, to John Louis and Elaine Carpenter Campbell, in El Reno, Oklahoma.

Jim was a commercial construction manager and bank builder. He was also a breeder of Quarter Horse and Paint race and barrel horses.

He stood the stallion Separate Rainbow for several years and was the breeder of Jl Treasured Smash, a Paint winner on the track who later had a successful career at a barrel horse, qualifying for the RFD-TV American Semi Finals in 2016 and 2017.

Jim was blessed with six children: Kim (Gordon) of Harrah, Oklahoma, Christy of Ft. Collins, Colorado, Jamie (Neiel) of Olathe, Kansa, Mike (Maria) of Helen, Georgia, Jon of Cape Coral, Florida, and Todd (Evenlyn) of Penrose, Colorado. He has 15 grandchildren and 20+ great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked donations be made in Jim’s name to the Myasthenia Foundation in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.
