Funeral Services Set Wednesday For Dr. Haskell Evans

NASHVILLE, TN—DECEMBER 30, 2017—Dr. Haskell Lee Evans, Jr. of Nashville, Tennessee passed away peacefully on Friday (Dec. 29). He was 77 years old.

Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, January 3, 2018 from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life Memorial Service beginning at 1:00 pm at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home in Nashville.

Dr. Evans was a University of Oklahoma Collage of Pharmacy graduate; class 1964, and a 2004 recipient of the Bienfang Award.

This award is given to a pharmacist in Oklahoma who has exemplified the characteristics of Professor Ralph D. Bienfang - service orientation, sensitivity to human needs, ability to communicate verbally and in writing, ability to inspire fellow practitioners, leadership within the profession, and a broad base of interests and accomplishments within and outside of pharmacy - over a period of time.

He and his wife of 48 years, Diane, became in involved in breeding Quarter Horses a few years ago including the filly Separate Dynasty in 2012. The daughter of FDD Dynasty who second in the Grade 1 Dash For Cash Futurity, fourth in the Ruidoso Futurity(G1) and finalist in the Southwest Juvenile Championship(G1).

The couple had recently moved to Nashville, Tennessee from their Southern Cross Ranch in Lawton, Oklahoma.

Dr. Evans was preceded in death by his parents Haskell Lee Evans, Sr. and Betty Alicia Gibson Evans.

He is survived by the love of his life and wife Diane Marie Evans; daughter Kristin Ragsdale D.PH. (John); daughter Melissa Cuthbertson D.PH. (Duane); son Angelo Simeone (Rosie Goodman); grandchildren Madison Cuthbertson, Evan Ragsdale, Davis Ragsdale, Ella Cuthbertson, Phoenix Simeone, Brooklyn Cuthbertson, and Mikael Simeone; sister Paula Biondi (Richard); numerous nieces and nephews; and favorite fur baby, Amber.
