CLAREMORE, OK—SEPTEMBER 16, 2017—Oklahoma based jockey Cody Smith rode six winners on Saturday's race card at Will Rogers Downs in Claremore, Oklahoma.

Smith kicked off the day with a half-length win aboard Royal Desirio in the third race. He got his second win three races later with another half-length post aboard Commander N Chief B. He got the first of back-to-back wins in Race 7 aboard Rise Ta Fame.

The ninth race kicked off four trials for the Grade 1 Pot O Gold Futurity with Smith taking the opening trial to qualify Dcm Furyofthestorm. In the 11th he got the fastest qualifier with Bully Pulpit, then scored his second back-to-back win of the day in the final race with another qualifier Sparketta.

With career earnings of nearly $10 million, Smith has ridden 667 winners. In 2017, he has posted a (280) 27-31-32 record while banking earnings of $418,118.
