AQHA is accepting registrations to the 38th Annual Jay Pumphrey Cowboy Classic Golf Tournament scheduled August 29 in Ruidoso. .

"The Pumphrey" coincides each year with the Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale and All American Week at Ruidoso Downs. This year's event is August 29 at The Links at Sierra Blanca in Ruidoso. The tournament, which is sponsored by Johnny and Jana Trotter, is intended to promote fellowship among American Quarter Horse racing enthusiasts and has helped get many newcomers involved in the industry.

If you have friends or business associates you'd like to introduce to American Quarter Horse racing, please invite them to play.

The registration fee for the tournament is $150 per player and includes green fees, cart, range balls and an invitation to the post-tourney dinner and awards presentation, sponsored by Reed Beverage of Amarillo.
