Action Packed Weekend For The Racing Aces

Q-RACING—JULY 22, 2014—The Racing Aces will be on the move this weekend with three on-site appearances and the third round of the Racing Aces Summer Showdown handicapping contest. Aces Denis Blake, Jen Perkins, John Hernandez, Jennifer Hancock and Martha Claussen will offer analysis and selections of five featured stakes races.

The weekend begins with a visit by Hancock to Saddle Brook Jockey Club in Amarillo on Friday, July 25. She will host a free handicapping seminar and preview the Retama Park stakes-filled card. Saddle Brook Jockey Club will tie in her appearance with "Ladies Night" drink specials on Friday and free coffee and donuts Saturday, July 26, from 11-11:30 a.m.

On Saturday, July 26, Perkins will travel to Les Bois Park in Boise, Idaho. Fans are invited to join her and track announcer John Petti for a free handicapping seminar at 4 p.m. She will remain at the track for the evening with analysis and wagering strategies on the card which includes the Adequan Les Bois Derby Challenge as well as the Red Cell Les Bois Distance Challenge. The winners will represent Idaho in the 2014 Bank of America Challenge Championships at Prairie Meadows on Saturday, October 18.

Claussen will be on-site Saturday, July 26, at Retama Park for trials for the John Deere Retama Juvenile Challenge as well as the $173,000 Retama Derby and $365,000 TQHA Sale Futurity (RG2). She will offer fans a free tip sheet, answer questions on Quarter Horse racing and join track announcer Tom Harris and handicapper Rich Anyel for paddock previews.

All five Aces will return to action in the Racing Aces Summer Showdown handicapping contest, which enters its third week of competition on July 26 -27. They will make selections on five stakes: the TQHA Sale Futurity (RG2); Adequan Les Bois Derby Challenge; Gordon Mobley Futurity at Indiana-Grand; Spencer Childers California Breeders' Championship (RG1) and Zia Futurity (RG1). Bragging rights will go to the Ace with the highest bankroll for the weekend.
