BOISE, ID—APRIL 16, 2014—Ida Lee Didericksen, 70, died in Mesa, Arizona, on Friday, April 11, with her devoted husband of 52 years, Duayne, at her side.

She was the daughter of Max and Ida (Winward) Roberts. She was born on May 22, 1943, along with her twin brother, Dee, in Blackfoot, Idaho. She also has a younger brother, Dewey. Lee loved her brothers very much. During her high school years, Lee was a cheerleader, high school rodeo queen, champion cutter and barrel racer.

She married Duayne Didericksen on July 17, 1961, in Pocatello, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple in Logan, Utah. They resided in Preston, Idaho, until 1984 when they moved to Boise, Idaho. While in Preston they had two sons, Rocky and Kip, who she loved very much. She owned and operated two successful businesses, Veda's Style Shop in Preston, and later Horseman's Tack and Toggs in Boise. Lee became a successful realtor working for Coldwell Banker for over 30 years. She made many wonderful friends and acquaintances through that endeavor.

Lee had an open heart, embracing everyone that she met, and was a very giving person. She always had a house full of family and friends, especially on holidays. She loved family birthdays, dinners and just getting together with others for a game of pinochle or Mexican train. Lee and Duayne traveled to Mesa in the winter months, where she enjoyed golfing and going to the flea market to buy gifts for her family and friends. She enjoyed her grandkids, Annie, Tyson, Wyatt, Quincy and RJ. She always supported them in all their activities whether it was a track meet, cow cutting or dancing. She was just starting to enjoy her great-grandson, Hudson. She had many nieces and nephews who she loved. Lee had a special place in her heart for her grand-nieces, Adalynn and Emmie.

Lee was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. She enjoyed church and served in many different callings over the years.

She is survived by her husband, Duayne; their sons, Rocky (Tammy) Didericksen of Eagle, Idaho, and Kip (Stephanie) Didericksen of Star, Idaho; five grandchildren, Tyson and RJ, Annie (Cody) Maddox, Wyatt (who is serving an LDS Mission in Gauhna, Africa) and Quincy; one great-grandson, Hudson, her brothers Dee (Cindy) Roberts and Dewey (Suzanne) Roberts. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Services will be held on Friday, April 18, at 1 p.m. at the Eagle Stake Center, 2090 North Eagle Rd., Eagle.

A viewing will be held prior to the service from 12-12:45 p.m. at the church. Family will also greet friends at a reception on Thursday, April 17, from 6-8 p.m. at Relyea Funeral Chapel, 318 North Latah St., Boise, Idaho.

Graveside services will be at the Franklin Cemetery in Franklin, Idaho, on April 19 at 1 p.m.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the doctors, nurses and staff who cared for Lee at the Banner Heart Hospital.
