INDIANAPOLIS, IN—JANUARY 30, 2013—The Quarter Horse Racing Association of Indiana presented the 2012 Champion Awards at the 2013 QHRAI Stallion Service Auction and Awards Banquet on January 5th in the Crowne Plaza Hotel Indianapolis Airport.

Randy Thompson's Air Born Leader was named Indiana Hose of the Year. Trained by Tom Mosley, the 4-year-old gelding had his best season every with five wins in seven starts, earning $140,972. Among his wins were the Born Runner Classic and Bob Woodward Memorial Classic.

Thompson and Mosley also teamed to win the Indiana Champion 3-Year-Old award with Successful Dash. The Cartel Success gelding won five of nine starts in 2012 and earned $66,196. He won the QHRAI Stallion Service Auction Derby and competed in three other stakes.

Ron Brown and Robert Ray's Tinys First Pepsi was named the Indiana Champion 2-Year-Old for 2012. The Tinys First Corona gelding put together a 3-1-1 record in seven starts to earn $115,498. Also trained by Ron Brown, the 2-year-old won the QHRAI Stallion Service Auction Futurity and the Miss Roxie Little Futurity.

Tom Mosley was named the 2012 Champion trainer and Oscar Delgado Champion Jockey. Circle S Ranch won Champion Breeder and Randy Thompson Champion Owner. Rolando Almanza was named Small Stable Champion Trainer of 2012.
