RUIDOSO DOWNS, NM—JULY 19, 2012—Ruidoso Futurity winner and the nation’s number-two ranked two-year-old turned-and-worked 220 yards in :11.51 on Thursday morning at Ruidoso Downs for her new connections.

As of Monday, the daughter of Desirio is owned by Denny Bowen, Susan Taylor with Jack and Lynne Smith. She is now trained by John Stinebaugh. Previous co-owner Fredda Draper, also her breeder, sold her share and she was trained to her two stakes wins by her husband Carl Draper, trainer of two All American Futurity winners.

PJ Chick In Black passed the Grade 1, $700,000 Rainbow Futurity so she could be pointed at the trials to the Grade 1, $2,400,000 All American Futurity on August 16. The horses with the 10-fastest times from the trials qualify to race for the $1,200,000 first-place check in the All American Futurity on Labor Day.

Undefeated from four starts, PJ Chick In Black is not eligible for the All American Futurity, therefore her owners will need to pay the $50,000 supplemental fee to enter the trials.

PJ Chick In Black, has earned $426,239 with wins in the Grade 1, $600,000 Ruidoso Futurity and the New Mexican Spring Futurity for New Mexico-breds back in April at Sunland Park.
