HENRYETTA, OK—DECEMBER 21, 2020—Collett Equine announced today that Grade 1 sire Jess Jones SI 114 will stand the 2021 season at their facility in Henryetta, Oklahoma. His fee has been set at $1,000.
From limited starters in seven crops to race, Jess Jones has sired 25 winners, 4 black type, earners of more than $762,000 and average earnings per starter in excess of $11,700.
Owned by J.D. Anderson, Jess Jones is a track record setting son of leading sire Mr Jess Perry. He won or placed in 15 races and earned $164,159. He was named the Oklahoma Hi-Point Aged Stallion-twice.
Jess Jones won the SLM Big Daddy Stakes(G3), Pauls Valley Handicap(G3), Oklahoma Centennial Stakes and Expo Square Stakes. He was also a finalist in the G1 Remington Park Invitational, G3 Remington Park Distance Handicap, etc.
He is out of the stakes-placed G1 All American Futurity finalist Disco Del Rey SI 112 ($110,626), dam of 21 ROM, 5 black type including stakes winner Dash Del Rey SI 103 ($92,170), Oklahoma Futurity(G2) winner Fast Del Rey SI 93 ($58,608), stakes-placed Folly Del Rey SI 97 ($160,319), stakes-placed Runaway Del Rey SI 101 ($26,672), etc.
The second dam is the multiple stakes producing Heza Charger mare Oaks Foxy Lady, a sister to stakes winner My New Car SI 101 ($74,326), stakes-placed Heza Kojak SI 99 ($39,923) and G1-placed Rent A Wreck SI 104 ($24,147), etc. She is the dam of 5 ROM winners, 2 black type including Disco Del Rey SI 112 (see above) and stakes-placed Easy Comes Easy Goes, etc.
