First-Crop Sire Jess Good Candy Gets First Stakes Winner

GUTHRIE, OK—NOVEMBER 15, 2020—Two-time champion and first-crop sire Jess Good Candy got his first stakes winner on Saturday when Teller With Candy dominated the $25,000 Corona Chick Handicap at Los Alamitos Race Course.

Under jockey Jesus Ayala, Teller With Candy was a wire-to-wire two-length winner while completing the 400 yards in :20.030 seconds. It was the third win six starts for the Oklahoma-bred gelding.

Reliance Ranches LLC bred the sorrel gelding from the Corona Cartel mare Teller N Telleragain. Teller With Candy has earned $24,685 from all six starts on the West Coast.
