Escondido Beach Wins 1st Annual QHRA Stallion Service Auction Stallion Bonus

SHELBYVILLE, IN—AUGUST 25, 2019—Escondido Beach, a multiple stakes siring son of leading sire Corona Cartel, won the 1st Annual QHRA Stallion Service Auction Stallion Challenge on Saturday in Indiana.

HH CJ Shake, a 2-year-old son of Escondido Beach won the $173,370 Quarter Horse Racing Association of Indiana (QHRAI) Stallion Service Auction (SSA) Futurity Saturday night at Indiana Grand. Owned by Larry Carter, John Myers, Gary Brandon Bell and Rusty Hawkins the gelding earned $67,619 to boost his earnings mark to over $111,000.

As a result of the win by HH CJ Shake, Sheri Miller and Bobby D. Cox the owners of Indiana's top stallion over the past few years, Escondido Beach, will receive a $5,000 bonus. The bonus to the winning sire of the QHRAI SSA Futurity, was a new addition to the Indiana program in 2019.
