First-Crop Sire Separate Interest Gets First Stakes Winner

MENIFEE, CA—MAY 5, 2019—Grade 3 winner and first-crop sire Seperate Interest got his first stakes winner on Sunday when No Sandbaggin won the $50,000 West Texas Juvenile Invitational at Sunland Park.

Ridden by jockey Jose Alvarez, No Sandbaggin got up at the wire in :15.141 seconds, a 95 speed index for the 300 yard distance. Trainer Manuel Rodriguez conditions the Separate Interest filly for owner La Feliz Montana Ranch, LLC. She picked up $23,500 for the effort.

Bred in California by Steve D. Burns DVM, from the Corona Cartel mare Remember The Cartel, No Sandbaggin is a $30,000 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale graduate.

Seperate Interest has sired three winners and multiple stakes qualifiers from a limited starters in his first crop.
