The Quarter Company Announces 2019 Stallion Roster

CHAMBERINO, NM—JANUARY 12, 2019—The Quarter Company, a full-service horse breeding and training facility in Chamberino, New Mexico has released their 2019 stallion roster.

Under new management this year, the facility offers boarding, layups, rehabs, overnights, and all services related to breeding and foaling for the horse racing industry.

The New Mexico facility has 12 fully enclosed stallion stalls, a 50+ stall mare motel, training barn, foaling stalls, pastures and turnouts, an equalizer, round pens, and a racetrack with starting gates.

Among their 2019 stallion roster are six Quarter Horse stallions and two Thoroughbreds.

Moonifisant

The first crop by restricted Grade 2 winner Moonifisant SI 99 will race in 2019. The five-time winning son of Grade 1 winner Sixarun will stand for a 2019 fee of $2,500.

Owned by Patricia Gonzalez, Moonifisant won or place in 11 of 17 career starts and earned $201,484. He won the restricted Grade 2 New Mexican Spring Futurity and was third in the Shue Fly Stakes(RG2) and New Mexico Classic Futurity(RG2). He was also a finalist in the Zia Handicap(RG1).

Moonifisant's sire is Grade 1 winner and leading New Mexico sire Sixes Royal SI 101 ($384,977), sire of 11 stakes winners and earners of over $6.7 million. His top performers include Streak Of Sixes SI 102 ($480,445), Sixy Chamisa SI 103 ($350,095), Kc Royal Flush SI 101 ($349,349), Moonifisant SI 99 (see above), etc.

Moonifisant is out of the "blue hen" Nagano Moon, a stakes-placed daughter of Major Rime. She is the dam of 14 ROM winners, 7 black type including AQHA Racing Champion and leading sire First Moonflash SI 122 ($969,828), Grade 2 winner Dash Ta Moon SI 108 ($352,305), Grade-1 placed Vancouver Moon SI 94 ($350,719), RG2 winner Moonifisant SI 99 (see above), stakes winner Full Moon Dasher SI 114 ($123,761), stakes winner Mesa Moonlight SI 102 ($29,37), Rainbow Futurity(G1) runner-up Vancouver Moon SI 94 ($350,719), G3-placed Moon Dynasty SI 103 ($80,211), etc.

Nagano Moon is the granddam of RG1 winner Dashnunder Afullmoon SI 105 (8 wins to 4, 2018 $711,951), RG2 winner Chickaloni SI 95 ($271,25)), stakes winner Osaka Moon SI 91 ($85,486), RG1-placed Machismo Moon SI 89 $157,779), RG1-placed Prize Dasher SI 97 (Winner at 2, 2018 $114,200), G2-placed Jen And Vodka SI 93 ($42,155), etc.

The second dam, Tilted Moon SI 98, is a stakes-placed multiple stakes producing daughter of Tilt The Odds (TB) who also produced Grade 2 winner and multiple stakes sire Moon Shake SI 97 ($208,017).
