WAYNE, OK—OCTOBER 22, 2014—Champion and leading sire Separatist, who hit a milestone recently when his progeny earnings mark surpassed the $23 million mark, will stand the 2017 breeding season at James Ranch, near Wayne, Oklahoma. His fee has been set at $4,500, but breeder's who book their mares by January 31st will enjoy a $500 discount.
In 13 crops to race, Separatist has sired 699 winners (65%), 145 stakes horses (14%), earners of $23.2 million with average earnings per starter of more than $21,600.
This season his 2-year-old son Ajs Anna Smoke SI 93 won the Governors Cup Futurity(G2) and is a finalist in the $1.1 million Golden State Million Futurity(G1) to be contested on October 30. The gelding has won five races and earned $196,000. His four-time champion son Moonist SI 101 ($878,468) won the Grade 1 Los Alamitos Winter Derby prior to his untimely death in April.
Among Separatist's other top performers are AQHA Racing World Champion Dm Shicago ($1,973,730), Rainbow Derby(G1) winner Separate Bet ($799,481), AQHA Racing Champion and G1 Sire Inseperable ($672,756), G3 winner Separate Interest ($486,643), G3 winner and Los Alamitos track record holder Divide The Cash ($448,643), Grade 3 winner Separatist Firstdown SI 109 (11 wins, $436,117), etc.
Separatist is out of the blue-hen mare Separate Ways, by Hempen (TB), dam of 16 ROM including champion Way Maker ($617,444), G1 winner and multiple stakes sire Make It Anywhere ($411,006), stakes winner Making Merri ($59,182), stakes-placed Making Ways ($93,894) and Secret Ways ($35,598).
