Grade 3 Winner FDD Going Grand To Tate Farms

VILLE PLATTE, LA—JUNE 1, 2016—Tate Farm announced today that Mercy Hinklin Horse Farm's multiple stakes winner and track record holder FDD Going Grand SI 112 will now stand at their farm near Ville Platte, Louisiana.

A homebred for Hinklin, FDD Going Grand has won or placed 15 of 17 career starts and earned $197,510. He set a new track record while winning the Evangeline Downs Dash last fall.

The 5-year-old also won the Develop A Plan Stakes(G3) and Old South Derby. Trained by Kenneth Roberts, Sr., he was second in the Dash For Cash Futurity(G1), Miss Polly Classic Stakes(RG3), Firecracker Derby and Gentilly Dash Stakes and was a finalists in the Refrigerator Handicap(G1).

FDD Going Grand is by the two-time champion son of all-time leading sire First Down Dash, FDD Dynasty. Winner of the Ed Burke Million Futurity(G1) and earner of more than $1.1 million, FDD Dynasty is currently among the leading sires of money earners for 2016. From five crops to race he has sired 257 winners, 1 champion, 45 stakes winners, 45 stakes-placed with earnings in excess of $11.4 million.

FDD Going Grand is out of the multiple stakes producing Corona Cartel mare Cash Cartel, dam of 7 ROM winners from 7 starters including G3 winner FDD Going Grand (see above), TQHA Sale Futurity(RG2) winner Cash Flow Cartel SI 104 ($191,744), G3 finalist Cash N FDD Dynasty SI 98 ($55,128), Wave Carvers Cartel SI 103 ($36,465), Firstdowndash Cartel SI 93 ($22,259) and Cartel Runway SI 93, etc.

The second dam is the stakes winning and stakes producing Dash For Cash mare Maid For Cash SI 96 ($26,442), dam of 8 ROM winners from 8 starters including G3 winner La Jolla Maid SI 95 ($73,817), stakes-placed Foldin Cash SI 102 ($17,115), etc. The third dam is the stakes winner Holme Maid SI 102, winner of 8 races, $231,019. She won the 1979 Three Bars Handicap at Ruidoso was second in the Rainbow Derby and a finalist in the All American Derby.
