LINDON, UT—SEPTEMBER 21, 2015—Pappasito, the sire of 2015 multiple stakes winner Pappas In The House $100,309, is relocating from Lazy E Ranch to Ron and Laurie Moosman’s RM Stables near Lindon, Utah.

Pappas In The House has been the hottest horse in the Intermountain Area this year, winning the trials and finals of both the Bitterroot Futurity and the Les Bois Juvenile Challenge. He also placed in the Knight Transportation Futurity and has five wins and a third in six outs.

The winner of the New Mexico Juvenile Challenge G3 at Ruidoso, Pappasito has average earnings per starter of nearly $14,000 and his other prominent runners include Pajarita Sita $167,806, G1; Madresita $113,812, G1, NTR and Champion Huddle $117,441.

A son of No. 2 all-time leading sire Corona Cartel, Pappasito is a half-brother to 2-time Champion and leading sire Stoli $332,237. Their dam is the two-time Champion Strawberry Silk $1,266,263, who won the 1989 All American Futurity G1 and Sun Country Futurity G1.

The Moosman family have been leaders in racing in the Intermountain area for decades, standing stallions such as Lanes Leinster and Maknmoves. They currently have a new breeding farm under construction in southwest Wyoming.

“We think this is an excellent opportunity for Pappasito,” said Lazy E Ranch’s Butch Wise. “The Moosman’s are quality people and have a brand-spanking new facility. He could not be in better hands. Pappasito has already had two Grade 1 runners and four horses to earn more than $100,000 and has had several black-type earners in that area. With the success of Pappas In The House at Les Bois Park this year, there is a lot of excitement up there about Pappasito. This is a good move for this horse.”

Pappas In The House is slated to run in the Dash For Cash Futurity G1 trials at Lone Star this Saturday night.

Wise also noted “We also hope that this move is seen as an endorsement of all the positive things that are happening in the InterMountain area. Despite some recent setbacks in the Idaho Supreme Court, the tremendous multi-state economic impact of quality racing associated with the historical racing machines cannot be denied. We feel certain that racing leaders will soon be able to craft a solution legislatively which will again set racing and economic development on its proper course.”
