Q-RACING JOURNAL—AUGUST 27, 2015—The past weekend at Ruidoso Downs was a wild affair, with three long days of trials offering only 20 slots into the rich Grade 1 All American Futurity and Derby trials. The $3 million All American Futurity goes off September 7, following the $2 million All American Derby the previous day.

There were 325 freshman entered in the trials for the All American Futurity alone, and Darling Farms’ One Fabulous Eagle topped all of them with a :21.452 on the first day.

The colt bred by Christine Hudson of Morgan Mill, Texas, has already finished third in fellow All American qualifier First Valiant Sign’s Ruidoso Futurity (G1) and goes into the race with $79,800 in earnings. He is by One Famous Eagle and out of the Strawfly Special mare Ladys Heart Of Gold.
