Q-RACING JOURNAL—JUNE 29, 2015— On Sunday, Canterbury Park honored one of Minnesota Quarter Horse racing’s legends with a stakes race – the $29,100 Bob Morehouse Stakes (R) – won by the filly Irish Brew.
Irish Brew was bred by Paul Knapper and is owned by Knapper in partnership with Jim Olsen. It is the filly’s first stakes win, and brings her career earnings to $38,866.
"I knew she was a good racehorse," said Olson of his horse. "There's a lot of Morehouse blood in this filly; now to win the Bob Morehouse Stakes is just fantastic."
Irish Brew is by Jess Zoomin and out of the Check The Charts mare Irish Bailey Brew.
