CHAMBERINO, NM—MAY 12, 2015—Heza Motor Scooter, a two-time AQHA Racing Champion sire, died Sunday at RVM Farm & Clinic near Chamberino, New Mexico. The son of leading sire Heza Fast Man was 17-years-old.
Bred-owned-and-raced by Joyce D. Erickson, Heza Motor Scooter sired 68 winners (61%), 20 stakes horses (18%), 2 champions with earnings of $3.1 million in 10 crops to reach racing age. His runners have average earnings per starter of nearly $28,000.

Heza Motor Scooter won or placed in 17 of 26 career starts while earning $259,682. He won the Grade 2 El Primero Del Derby, Cypress Sophomore Handicap, QHBC Sophomore Classic and was second in the Los Alamitos Winter Derby(G1). He was also third in the Tolltac Handicap and a finalist in the Los Alamitos Million Futurity(G1), Rainbow Futurity(G1), New Mexico Championship Challenge(G1), West Texas Maturity(G3), Z Wayne Griffin Directors Stakes(G3), Corona Chick Handicap and Double Bid Handicap.
