AJAX, ONT—JULY 14, 2019—Eazy Street, under jockey Tony Phillips, romped to an easy two-length win over Silken Siri in the $45,370(US) Ontario Bred Futurity Sunday afternoon at Ajax Downs.
Trainer Bryn Robertson saddled the 2-year-old son of Might B Valiant to his second win in as many starts this season for owner's Carol and Jaime Robertson.
Bred by Guylaine Paquin, from the Holland Ease mare Easily Holland, Easy Street earned $19,307(US) for the effort, increasing his bankroll to $24,855.
Silken Siri, still a maiden in four starts, picked up $9,653(US) for finishing second. A homebred daughter of champion sire Desirio, Silken Siri races for owner/breeders Joyce and Erick Lehtinen. Also trained by Erick, the bay filly was ridden by jockey Ramiro Castillo. She has earned $13,947 this season.
Belinda Taggart's homebred Fireball Xl5 finished half-a-length back in third, earning $4,827(US). Jason Pascoe trains the son of Star Fire Dash out of Dazzlin Lady by Stel Corona. Ed Walton had the riding assignment.
Wavin Bac Atya, One Kool Dynasty, Kits Award and Hanover Hill Chalsee completed the field.
