The Favorite Cartel gelding has competed in trials at Ruidoso and Evangeline as a 2-year-old, but the Retama Derby will be his first career stakes start.

Psychopath debuted at Ruidoso in a trial for the Ruidoso Futurity, but did not break his maiden until the first start of his 3-year-old year. Since then he is undefeated in three starts in 2019 at Delta and Retama.
