TULSA, OK—JULY 13, 2019—Onlycloverofmine held off multiple stakes winner and posttime favorite Dtl Chasin Tale by a neck in the final trial to set the fastest qualifying time for the Grade 1 Speedhorse Paint & Appaloosa Futurity Saturday night at Fair Meadows.

The 10 fastest qualifiers, from the 32 2-year-olds who participated in four trial races, will return to Fair Meadows at Expo Square in Tulsa, Saturday, July 27th to vie for the winner's share of a $102,800 purse.

Ridden by jockey Mario Delgado, Onlycloverofmine completed the 350 yards in :17.774 seconds, a 91 speed index into a 8 mph crosswind, to establish the top mark. Trainer Pedro Martinez saddled the Capo de Capi (QH) filly to her third win in five starts for owner/breeder Scott Mills. Out of the Judys Lineage mare Onlytreasureofmine, Onlycloverofmine has banked nearly $20,000 this season.

Two-time Grade 1 winner of the Speedhorse Graham Paint and Appaloosa Futurity and Oklahoma Paint and Appaloosa Horse Futurity at Remington Park earlier this season, Dtl Chasin Tale held onto the second fastest time of :17.799 seconds, a 90 speed index.

The son of first-crop sire Wagon Tales (QH)was the first of three Speedhorse qualifiers saddled by trainer Ty Blackwell. Racing for owner DTL Tell Partnership, the bay gelding was bred in Oklahoma from the APHA mare Shez Showin Off by Sf Royal Quickflash. The winner of four of six starts has earned $183,352 this year.

Blackwell also qualified 4th fastest Southern Electric and 7th fastest Dtl Smooth Criminal. All three were ridden by jockey Cody Smith.
