Royally Bred Kvn Little Sister Dominates Utah Bred Futurity Trials

EVANSTON, WY—JULY 13, 2019—Kvn Little Sister, a sister to champion Kvn Corona and grade 1 winner Big Lew, dominated the last of three trials for the Utah Bred Futurity at Wyoming Downs Saturday, posting a 1-¼ length victory.

The 10 fastest qualifiers will return to Wyoming Downs in Evanston on Saturday, July 27th to vie for the winner's share of a $23,000 purse.

Ridden by jockey Jesus Valenzuela, Kvn Little Sister crushed the field while completing the 350 yards in :17.575 into a 4 mph headwind to earn a 93 speed index and the top qualifying mark.

The homebred daughter of leading sire Corona Cartel races for owner-breeder McColee Land & Livestock LLC. The brown filly was the first of four Utah Bred Futurity finalists saddled by trainer Riley Moosman.

Out of the Executive Menace mare Executive Looks, Kvn Little Sister has compiled a (3) 2-0-1 record and banked $10,047. She was third in the Hadley/Giles Futurity in her last start on July 1.

Moosman also saddled 5th fastest Turbulent Eyes; 9th fastest Mississippi Queen and 10th fastest Smooth Movin Cartel.

Its Moana Time, a daughter of Turbulent Times, finished second to Kvn Little Sister but hung to the second fastest qualifying time of :17.879 seconds for owner-trainer and breeder Jay Pitcher. The filly out of Jp What You Say by Special Leader has won or placed in three of her five career starts.
