Riley Moosman Saddles Four Qualifiers To Wyoming Bred Futurity

GILLETTE, WY—JUNE 16, 2019—Trainer Riley Moosman saddled four of the 10 qualifiers Sunday for the $25,000-added Wyoming Bred Futurity at Energy Downs. Two of the trainer's horses posted the top two times from 40 accredited Wyoming-Bred 2-year-olds competing in six trial races.

Moosman's first qualifier, Gotta Lotta Pappa under jockey Jesus Valenzuela, clocked a :15.401 time for 300 yards in the final trial to set the top mark and earn a 103 speed index. It was the second start and first career win for the daughter of multiple stakes sire Pappasito from the Maknmoves mare Lotta Kat Moves.

Ron Moosman and Kathy Moosman own the bay filly bred in Wyoming by Bryce Moosman.

Steffies Dashn Moves, a daughter of multiple stakes sire Maknmoves, was an easy winner under Valenzuela in the second trial to get the second fastest time of :15.460 seconds, a 101 speed index.

It was the second win in three starts for the homebred filly racing for owner-breeders Ron and Laurie Moosman. The filly's only loss this year came in the $20,050 Rocky Mountain Spring Classic Futurity at Pocatello Downs on May 19. She is out of the Winners Version mare Steffiesclassic Dash.

Riley Moosman's other qualifiers are 5th fastest Jims Highlite and 9th fastest Brash And Sassy.
