Stojan, Leech Back In Winners Circle With Clear To See In All Canadian Futurity

LETHBRIDGE, AB—JUNE 15, 2019—After winning two stakes on Saturday's race-card at Rocky Mountain Turf Club in Lethbridge, owner Charles Stojan and trainer William Leech were back in the winner's circle Sunday with a 1-2 finish in the $7,372(US) All Canadian Futurity (not black type).

In his first career start, Clear To See outran stablemate Light Footed by three-quarters to take home the winner's purse valued at $3,492(US) in Sunday's All Canadian Futurity. The California-bred son of leading sire Walk Thru Fire completed the 300 yards in :15.706 seconds with an 8 mph tailwind to equal a 93 speed index.

Jockey Ricardo Moreno had the riding call again for owner Stojan and trainer Leech. Bred by Edward C. Allred, Clear To See is out of the Separatist mare Realistically.

Stablemate Light Foote, also a California-bred, earned $1,552(US) for her second-place effort. Owned by Stojan and trained by Leech the chestnut filly was ridden by Scott Sterr. Light Footed is a daughter of Stel Corona out of the First Down Dash mare Chickafirst. Edward Allred is also the breeder.

Trainer Buckey Stockwell saddled Jb First Down Fame to a third-place finish in the futurity for owner/breeder James Butterfield. The Alberta-bred son of First Down Leaving is out Exotic Fame by Corona Caliente. Ridden by Jose Rocha, the gray colt earned $931(US) for the effort.

Forty Creek Special, Jb Hooter and Love Wagon completed the field. First Down Daddy was scratched.
