AURORA, CO—JUNE 15, 2019—Fastest qualifier Tf Kates Tlc did not disappoint as the even-money favorite and gate-to-wire winner of the $64,215 Rocky Mountain Futurity at Arapahoe Park on Saturday afternoon.

The final time for the 330-yard final was 17.160, resulting in a speed index of 87.

Tf Kates Tlc ($4.00) was the fastest qualifier from three trials on May 31 with a time of 16.972. She had won the third and final trial by nearly two lengths in the qualifying effort.

Tf Kates Tlc was ridden by Carlos Guillen Chacon for trainer Roberto Treto and owner Gilberto Gutierrez. The 2-year-old daughter of The Louisiana Cartel was bred in Louisiana by Tate Farms. She is out of the Stoli mare Xo Kate, a multiple stakes winner with career earnings of $242,302.

La Reina Madre was the sixth fastest qualifier to the final as the fourth-place finisher in her trial. She debuted at Sunland Park and competed in the West Texas Juvenile before shipping north for the Rocky Mountain Futurity.

Cerapio Figueroa had the call for trainer Jose Manuel Barron. The Apollitical Jess filly is a South Dakota homebred for Butch and Stephanie Webb and is out of the stakes winning Pappasito mare Madresita.
