OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—FEBRUARY 20, 2019—Just one day after sleet and snow fell at Remington Park, sunny skies greeted Wednesday training race competitors. Lady Six Sky made a rally to win the seventh training race of the afternoon, posting the top 250-yard time of the session, over a fast track.
Bred and owned by Reliance Ranches of Guthrie, Okla., Lady Six Sky is trained by Mike Robbins and was ridden by Ruben Castro. The Oklahoma-bred 2-year-old filly crossed the finish in :13.704, winning her race by a head over Rfancy Fire into a mild headwind of 11mph.
Lady Six Sky is a daughter of champion sire Valiant Hero from the multiple stakes-placed Feature Mr Jess mare Huckleberry Mojito. The second dam is the grade 3 winning Mr Eye Opener mare Eye Opening Special.
Bob and Deanna Williams Rfancy Fire held onto the second fastest clocking of :13.71 seconds. Matt Whitekiller conditions the daughter of champion sire Walk Thur Fire from the stakes winning and stakes-producing Strawfly Special mare Rspecial Chick.
Robbins and Reliance Ranches also teamed for the third fastest clocking with Daisy Cakes, a daughter of leading sire Pyc Paint Your Wagon. The bay filly broke sharp in the first race then cruised to an impressive 1 ½ length win while stopping the timer in :13.760 seconds.
Daisy Cakes is out of multiple stakes-placed All American Futurity(G1) finalist Lotta Love For Robyn, by First Down Dash, and she is a half-sister to Golden State Million Futurity(G1) winner Lotta Blues Man and Texas Classic Futurity(G1) winner Tres Friends.
Trainer Clinton Crawford and Trey Ellis joined Robbins with two winners apiece on the training card. Owner Gene Cox was the only other owner with duel winners.
Other sire's getting winners on Wednesday were Apollitical Jess, Crm Livewire, First Moonflash, Highest Fire, Ivory James and Tac It Like A Man.
Wednesday’s training races were conducted in temperatures ranging from the mid to high 40s. The headwind ranged from 11 to 15mph over the eight races.

Remington Park will conduct another eight training races on Thursday morning, beginning at 11am.
The 2019 Remington Park Quarter Horse season begins Friday, March 8, and continues for 50 dates, through Saturday, June 1.
