Beaus Coupe Wins All American QH Congress Futurity In First Career Start

CINCINNATI, OK—SEPTEMBER 16, 2018—Beaus Coupe, a 2-year-old colt by champion Foose, rolled to a three-quarter length win in the $15,000 All American Quarter Horse Congress Futurity in his first career start on Sunday at Belterra Park.

Jockey Fernando Morin had the riding call for trainer J. Guadalupe Arevalo. No time was available.

Owner Rosa Arevalo paid $7,000 for the Maryland-bred 2-year-old at the 2017 Los Alamitos Equine Sale. Bred by Lucas Racing, Beaus Coupe is out of the First Down Dash mare Bouquette. He earned $9,000 for the effort.

Coming off a maiden win at Indiana Grand in his first career start, the lightly raced Fast Layne stumbled at the start, under jockey Leonardo Rodrigues, but still finished second to earn $3,000 for owner Campos Family Ventures LLC.

Six Packin Eagle, a gelding by first-crop sire Reagal Eagle, finished 2-˝ lengths back in third for owner-breeder and trainer Bart Sachleben. Natasha Fritz had the riding assignment aboard the 2-yaer-old out of Six Packin Hero by Valiant Hero. He earned $1,500.

Hopeful Success, Game Phoebe, Apollosecret and Rjt Queenwithacrona completed the field.
