Idaho-bred Kashman, under jockey Roman Huerta, setting the fastest time from five trials on Friday at Retama Park for the $50,000-added TQHA Sires' Cup Futurity(RG3).

Kashman Breaks Maiden, Sets Top Mark in TQHA Sires' Cup Futurity Trials

SELMA, TX—AUGUST 17, 2018—Kashman, a 2-yaer-old gelding by two-time champion Prospect To The Top, broke his maiden with a one-length win Friday night at Retama Park while posting the top qualifying time from five trial races contested for the $50,000-added TQHA Sires' Cup Futurity(RG3).

Ridden by jockey Roman Huerta, Kashamn completed the 350 yards in :18.039 seconds into a 10 mph headwind to establish the top qualifying mark.

Trainer Yoni Martinez saddled the Idaho-bred gelding for owner Maria Gama Medrano. Bred by Dan Moon, from the Mr Jess Perry mare Jess Kashmere, Kashman has compiled a (6) 1-1-0 record and banked $4,500 this season.

Jm Destiny also broke his maiden in the second trial by a 1-˝ lengths to get the second fastest time of :18.088 seconds. Froylan Ramirez rode the Tempting Dash gelding to his first win in four starts for owner J and M Racing and Farm and trainer Pedro Lopez.

Paulo Otavo Freire MacEdo bred Jm Destiny in California from the Mr Jess Perry mare Solid Connection. He has earned $3,898.

First crop sires Coronado Cartel and Majestic Cartel each sired a qualifier to the September 1st final at Retama Park.
