Jr Tinkup Wins Richest Beehive Futurity In History

SOUTH JORDAN, UT—JUNE 16, 2018—With a late surge under jockey Raymundo Torres, Jr Tinkup pushed his neck ahead of fastest qualifier Femme Fatalia to win the $92,233 Beehive Futurity Saturday at Laurel Brown Racetrack. It was the richest futurity in the UQHRA's Beehive history.

A son of the Mr Jess Perry stallion Fast Prize Stone, Jr Tinkup completed the 350 yards in :17.775 seconds to earn a 92-speed index and pocket the winners' purse worth $36,893.

Trainer Riley Moosman saddled the Utah homebred for owner/breeder J R Stables. Jr Tinkup is out of the Foose mare Jr Dash Of Shania.

Femme Fatalia, picked up $18,447 for her second place effort. Melody Olsen owns the California-bred daughter of multiple stakes sire Favorite Cartel from the Chicks Beduino mare Kool Kue Chick. Glade Van Tassell conditions with Cordarelton Benn getting the riding assignment. Steve D. Burns DVM is the breeder.

Owner J R Stables and trainer Riley Moosman also finished one-length back with another Utah homebred Jr Dynasty Czech. Jesus Valenzuela rode the son of second-crop sire Jr Dynasty Mountain from the Swingin Jess mare Jr Czech Swing. He earned $9,233 for the effort.

Loyal Soldier, Firebaugh Jess, Pistol The Kid, Showmethedoe, Jazzing Moves and Mischievous Bay completed the field. Cir Kingzlees Queen was scratched.
