Goldline Romps In Friday’s Feature Allowance Race At Remington Park

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—APRIL 20, 2018—Goldline made his first start of 2018 a winning one, scoring a $23,650 allowance event on Friday at Remington Park by one length.

Owned by Wade Helton of Pampa, Texas and trained by Fernando Carrete, Goldline was ridden to victory by Roberto Meraz. The 3-year-old gelding pulled away while covering 400 yards on a fast track in :20.105.

Seminole Senator settled for second while Indomable Cartel was another nose back for third.

Goldline was at 6-1 odds in the wagering and paid $14 to win, $6 to place and $4.20 to show. Seminole Senator paid $4.80 to place and $4 to show. Indomable Cartel returned $6.40 to show. Political Mess was the beaten betting favorite at 6-5 odds, running ninth in a field of 10.

A Texas-bred gelding by Oilwagon from the Nelson (TB) mare Nelsons Martini (TB), Goldine picked up his third career win from eight attempts, and his first at Remington Park. The winner’s share of $12,930 moves his career bankroll to $30,449.

Remington Park racing continues Saturday and Sunday, April 21 & 22 this week. The first race for Remington Park Futurity Night on Saturday is at 6pm. The $864,500 Remington Park Futurity headlines a 12-race program worth nearly $1.6 Million.

Sunday, April 22 is Extreme Racing Day 2018 at Remington Park as the exotic animals compete throughout the afternoon, in between the regular American Quarter Horse, Paint and Appaloosa races. The exhibition races will begin the day at 1pm with the Express Ranch Clydesdales’ Match Race. The regular horse racing program starts at 1:30pm.
