Miss Vals Easy Cash Breaks Maiden In Northern Plains Futurity

BELCOURT, ND—JUNE 25, 2017—Miss Vals Easy Cash got her first career win on Sunday when she defeated Special Red Charmer by half-a-length in the $17,729 Northern Plains Futurity at Chippewa Downs. Little Speed Wagon finished one-length back to get third.

Ridden by jockey Damon Leeds, Miss Vals Easy Cash completed the 350 yards in :19.540 seconds to take home the winners' purse of $8,865.

Trainer Terry Davis saddled the North Dakota homebred for owner/breeder John Bubel. Miss Vals Easy Cash is out of the Dashing Val mare Miss Salty Val. She has compiled a (3) 1-1-0 record.

Still a maiden in two starts, Special Red Warrior races for owner/breeder Diane Carpentier and trainer Shelia Bennett. Jockey Terry Bennett rode the Mr Special Colors colt out of Credits Lucky Charm by Windwalker Alive. He earned $4,078 for the effort.

Third-place finisher Little Speed Wagon, a daughter of second crop sire Paintyourownwagon, races for Darrel Smith and trainer Cole Wilson. Marcus Delorme rode the black filly out of Little Free Speed by Free Company. Smith co-bred Little Speed Wagon with Noreen Cavanaugh. She picked up $2,305 for third.

Ima Dakota Runner and Eye Hasta Be Fast dead-heated four fourth and Jennas Easy Victory finished sixth.
