LETHBRIDGE, ALB—JUNE 25, 2017—Last year's AQHA Racing Canadian Champion Poutn On The Wagon got a perfect trip under jockey Scott Steer to get his fourth career stakes win on Sunday afternoon at Lethbridge.

The son of leading sire Pyc Paint Your Wagon posted a 1˝-length win over Honor The Fast Man in the $14,707(US) All Canadian Derby. North Pine Special finished a neck back to get third.

Trainer William Leech conditions the Alberta homebred for owner/breeder Pete Schoeler. Out of the Okey Dokey Dale mare Poutnlori, Poutn On The Wagon is a perfect 8-for-8 and used the $6,618(US) winners' purse to boost his career earnings total to $68,102.

The brown gelding has also won the Alberta Bred Futurity(RG3), Canada Quarter Horse Cup Futurity(RG3) and Sport Of Speed Sale Futurity.

Honor The Fast Man, who was also second in the June 11th trials to Poutn On The Wagon, earned $2,941(US) for this runner-up effort in the All Canadian Derby.

Tom Kenway owns, trains Alberta-bred son of Honor The Perry from the Heza Fast Man mare Buckle High. The graded stakes-placed winner has earned nearly $20,000 in nine career starts. Martin Ortiz had the riding assignment.

Ridden by jockey J.B. Botello, third-place finisher North Pine Special races for owners Teagan Goodsell and Shylo Penrod. Allen Goodsell conditions the Oak Tree Special gelding out of Hawks Halo by Hawkinson. Bred by Donalda Cochrane, the brown gelding picked up $1,765(US) for his effort.

Tac It Perry, Ivory Lady League, Sherry Baby, Zerelda James and Pros Ranger completed the field.
