Wagonfullofdividends won his second futurity of the season on Saturday when he set a new track record in the Bitterroot Futurity at Sandy Downs.

Wagonfullofdividends Stays Perfect, Breaks Track Record In Second Futurity Win of Season

SANDY, ID—JUNE 24, 2017—Wagonfullofdividends kept his record a perfect 4-for-4 Saturday after destroying the $104,376 Bitterroot Futurity field by 3˝ lengths in track record time at Sandy Downs.

Ridden by jockey Jesus Canales, Wagonfullofdividends completed the 350 yards in :17.032 seconds into a 5-mph crosswind to earn a 117-speed index.

The son of leading sire Pyc Paint Your Wagon lowered the previous track record of :17.232 seconds, set August 14, 2010 by Lajolla Famosa, by 2/100ths.

Trainer Mark Hanson saddled the four-time winner, who also won the Rocky Mountain Classic Futurity earlier this year, for owner's RTM Stables LLC and Shauna Dunn.

Bred in Oklahoma by Randy and Sandy Coleman, from the Brimmerton mare Ms Athenas Dividend, Wagonfullofdividends earned $41,750 to boost his bankroll to $56,450.

RTM Stables purchased the colt at the 2017 Heritage Place Yearling Sale from the 6666 Ranch consignment for $25,000.

Skinny Kyni hesitated at the break but recovered to finish second, half-a-length ahead of Just Had To Be.

Chancey Spencer saddled Skinny Kyni for owner/breeder A and C Racing and Roping. Uriel Dominguez rode the Winners Version Utah-bred filly from the Streakin La Jolla mare Miss Mischievous. She picked up $20,875 for the effort.

Tyler Gibbs conditions third-place finisher Just Had To Be for himself and Alan Ostdahl. Dan Moon bred the son of Hadtobenuts in Idaho from the Teller Cartel mare Just Wanna Teller. Ridden by Oscar Cervantes, Jest Had To Be earned $10,437.

Cm Once Ina Bluemoon, Fantastic Minion, One Sweet Dance, Kool Odds, Cm Boom, Easy Blue Vodka and Chrystel completed the field.

Royallittlewagon, a filly by second crop sire Paintyourownwagon, lugged in the at the start but finished well under jockey Cordarelton Benn to win the $10,000 Bitterroot Futurity consolation by three-quarters of a length.

Trainer Skyler Greene saddled the sorrel filly for owner/breeder Enrique Rojo. Bred in Idaho, from the Royal Shake Em mare Royal Lil Strike, Royallittlewagon has won two of four starts this season and earned $10,550.

Royallittlewagon completed the 350 yards in :17.696 seconds, into a 5 mph crosswind, to earn a 97 speed index.
