TULSA, OK—JUNE 24, 2017—Fair Meadows hosted a pair of Quarter Horse Stakes on Saturday's card. Admiral Zoomwalt was a half-length winner in the $17,500 Expo Square Stakes at 870 years while the 2-year-old Dean Miracle Ladd scored a neck win in a blanket finish to the $17,500 Fair Meadows Juvenile.

Expos Square Stakes

Ridden by jockey Donell Blake, Admiral Zoomwalt dueled early but proved the best as he defeated Thespeedprofessor by a half-length in the $17,500 Expo Square Stakes. Give It To Shaq finished three-quarter back for the show position.

Trainer John Weghorst saddled the 5-year-old son of Shazoom to his 10th career win for owner Justin Lee Robinson. Bred in Oklahoma, by Christine Hudson and Mike Nobles, Admiral Zoomwalt completed the 870 yards in a quick :45.341 seconds to earn a 103-speed index into a 12-mph crosswind.

Out of the First Down Dash mare Tellin It All, the sorrel gelding has compiled a (27) 10-3-3 record and used the $10,338 winners' purse to boost his bankroll to $141,451.

G3-placed Thespeedprofessor races for owner Darling Farms and trainer Michelle Hurdle. Mario Delgado rode the son of Furyofthewind out of Dreams For Lyndie by Takin On The Cash. Bred in Oklahoma by Kirk Goodfellow, Thespeedprofessor picked up $3,446 for his effort.

Already an 870 stakes winner, Give It to Shaq is owned-and-trained by Tana Caldwell. Josh Romero was aboard the Afrashad (TB) 4-year-old out of Brittany Dale by JD Dash. Jim Pitts bred the sorrel gelding in Texas. He earned $1,620.

Droppin Timber, Blazen Panther, Petes Favorite, J Boy A and Cyber Cat completed the field.

Fair Meadows Juvenile

Making just his third career start, Dean Miracle Ladd stepped up from a $15,000 Claiming win at Remington Park May 6th to defeat Chasin My Desire by a neck in the $17,500 Fair Meadows Juvenile Stakes on Saturday.

Ridden by jockey Mario Delgado, the son of Dashair completed the 350 yards in :17.939 seconds into a 12-mph crosswind, to get this second win. The $10,230 winners' purse boosted the gelding's earnings total to $18,660.

Trainer Edward Ross Hardy conditions Dean Miracle Ladd for owner/breeders Kendrix Brothers. He was bred in Oklahoma from the Dean Miracle mare My Miracle Lady.

Grade 3 Oklahoma Futurity finalist Chasin My Desire finished second for owner/breeder Sammy Manek. Luz Chavira saddled the Chicks Regard colt out of Hi Ho Desirio by Desirio. Ridden by Daniel Torres the gray 2-year-old earned $3,410 for his effort.

Still a maiden from five starts this season, Candyman Dash races for owner/breeder Joe Casrez. Robert Esqueda trains the Cartels Candy Man gelding out of Peekoboo Dash by Pritzi Dash. Josh Romero was up to earn $1,876.

Ivory Trader, Cy Corporal Ed, Jessatacthiscorona, Mighty B Good, Dejango, Mr Rushmore and Streakainonthestrip completed the field.

Posttime favorite Dejango stumbled at the start.
