EVANSTON, WY—JUNE 24, 2017—Foose Dust, a son of leading sire Foose, wouldn't be denied Saturday while defeating Tanquery Dash by a neck in the Saturday's trials for the Wyoming Bred Futurity at Wyoming Downs.

Ridden by jockey Jesus Valenzuela, Foose Dust completed the 300 yards in :15.427 seconds, a 96-speed index, to earning the top qualifying time from six trial races contested for state-bred 2-year-olds on Saturday.

The 10 fastest qualifiers will return to the Evanston facility on Saturday, July 8th to contest $37,100 final over 300-yards.

Foose Dust was the first of four qualifiers saddled by trainer Riley Moosman.

Owned-and-bred by Jim Nebeker, the sorrel gelding was making only his second career start after a fourth-place finish in the March 22nd Hadley/Giles Futurity trials at Weber Downs. Foose Dust is from the Maknmoves mare Out Of The Dust.

Runner-up Tanquery Dash held on for the second fastest clocking of :15.463 seconds, a 94-speed index. Coming off a win in the Bucking Horse Sale Futurity last month, the son of multiple stakes sire Brindis Por Cayenne races for owner/breeder Gerald Kaul.

Trainer Jesse Villegas conditions the sorrel gelding out of Dashin Dashetta by Dashin Moon Shadow. Luis Peralta was up.

Moosman's second qualifier Super Sonic Moves was a half-length winner in the fourth trial to get the third fastest time of :15.531 seconds, a 92-speed index. Jesus Valenzuela rode the Dan and Patricia Baker home-bred. The daughter of multiple stakes sire Maknmoves is out of Bf Outrageous Doll by Okey Dokey Dale.

Moosman also saddled 7th qualifier Switching To 307 and 9th qualifier Dust Stone.

The aforementioned trainer Jesse Villegas also got 4th qualifier A Toast To Brindis and 5th qualifier Eyesa Special Cirrus into the final.
