Seasoned Stakes Horse Tacitandrun Sets Top Mark in Intermountain Futurity Trials

ELKO, NV—AUGUST 27, 2016—Five-time winner Tacitandrun cruised a three-quarter length win in the second of five trials to the Intermountain Quarter Horse Futurity at the Elko County Fair on Saturday. The son of the multiple stakes sire Tac It Like a Man posted the top qualifying time of :17.767 seconds, a 102 speed index.

The 10 fastest qualifiers. from the 37 two-year-olds who competed in the trials, will return to the Elko County Fairgrounds on Monday, September 5th to compete for the winner’s share of $27,500-added purse going 350 yards.

Already a stakes winner, Tacitandrun won the Roche Equine Futurity in June and was second in the Oneida County Fair Futurity earlier this month. Owned-and-trained by Fredy Olmos, the sorrel gelding has compiled a (7) 5-1-0 record and earned $14,545. Lake and Ledona Newcomb bred the $5,500 Heritage Place September Yearling in Oklahoma from the Tres Seis mare Runaway Seis.

The royally-bred Runninthrutheroses was an impressive 2 ½ length winner in the third trial under jockey Jesus Valenzuela to get the second fastest clocking of :17.862 seconds, a 98 speed index.

Monty Arrossa trains the Walk Thru Fire filly for owner Vincent Treyes. The $31,000 Heritage Place Yearling graduate is out of Fast Red Rose, a daughter of leading sire Mr Jess Perry. Reliance Ranches, LLC is the breeder.
