Your Wagons A Winner Scores Northern Plains Futurity Win

BELCOURT, ND—JUNE 25, 2016—Your Wagons A Winner, a daughter of first crop sire Paintyourownwagon, went wire-to-wire to defeat Dashing Fullthrottle by a nose in the $21,363 Northern Plains Futurity at Chippewa Downs Saturday afternoon.

Ridden by jockey Jeremy Herman, Your Wagons A Winner pushed her record to a perfect 2-for-2 after completing the 350 yards in :18.680 seconds, pocketing the winner's purse of $8,973.

Jess Charbonneau saddled the gray filly for owner Steve Leonard. Darrel Smith bred Your Wagons A Winner in North Dakota from the Runaway Winner mare Winners Script.

Second place finisher Dashing Fullthrottle, who was the second fastest qualifier for the July 2nd North Dakota Grassroots Futurity during trials contested last weekend, is also trained by Charbonneau. Shaun Herman rode the Such Easy Cash filly for owner Dennis Halvorson. John Bubel is the breeder. Out of the Dashing Cleat mare Dashing Four Socks, Dashing Fullthrottle earned $3,845.

First Heartbreak, also a finalist to the July 2nd North Dakota Grassroots Futurity, earned $2,777 for her third place effort. Perry Cavanaugh conditions the daughter of Ima Ramblin On for owner Ramsey Delorme. Randal Schawartz bred the bay filly from the Lead The Field mare Two Thirty Eight.

Dashing Boy, Paint Your Shamrock, Such An Easy Memory, Comes Ajumpn and Cos I Can completed the field.
