In a blanket-finish, Ill Stop The World (#4) defeats Bp Taken Away (#2) and Alis Jumpn (#5) in the La Plata Stakes Sunday afternoon at SunRay Park.

Ill Stop The World Gets Stakes Win In La Plata at SunRay

FARMINGTON, NM—JULY 26, 2015—Ill Stop The World got his third consecutive win in as many starts this season and first career stakes win on Sunday when he defeated Bp Takem Away and Alis Jumpn by a nose in the $35,000 La Plata Stakes at SunRay Park. The two second place horses finished in a dead-heat.

Ill Stop The World put in a strong rally under jockey Esgar Ramirez to complete the 400 yards in :19.439 seconds, a 97 speed index. Owned-and-trained by Alfredo Sanchez, Ill Stop The World scored his sixth career win and the $21,000 winner's purse boosted his career earnings total to $226,072.

Ron and Kati Hanna bred the FDD Dynasty 5-year-old in New Mexico from the Special Task mare You Light Up My Life. His lifetime record stands at (19) 6-3-1.

Bp Takem Away and Alis Jump each earned $5,600 after dead-heating for the place position.

Luis Hernandez trains Bp Takem Away for himself and Juan Hernandez. Bred in Oklahoma by Bill Price, the Corona Cartel 4-year-old has earned $67,650. Hector Aldrete was aboard the 4-year-old out of Shes Takes All by This Snow Is Royal.

Alis Jump is a multiple graded stakes winning daughter of Jumpn owned by Eloy Pena and trained by Adam Tapia. Jorge Bourdieu had the riding call on the $197,910 earner out of Gloria In Red, by Fire On The Red. Don Apodaca is the breeder.
