TQHA Yearling Sale Adds Horses Of Racing Age Session

ELGIN, TX—FEBRUARY 28, 2019—The Texas Quarter Horse Association (TQHA) announced today they will add a special "Horses of Racing Age" session to their annual yearling sale set for July 26 and 27 in San Antonio, Texas.

The annual sale is conducted each year in the climate controlled comfort of the Exposition Hall at the Freeman five minutes off I-35 in San Antonio.

Open to all racing age horses 2-year-old and older, consignments for this new session do not have to be accredited Texas-bred.

Consignment deadline for both Texas-bred foals of 2018 and race age horses 2-year-old and older is May 1, 2019.

All yearlings selling in the 2019 TQHA Yearling Sale are eligible for the $500,000-est. TQHA Sale Futurity(RG3), the richest race in the nation for restricted to sale graduates. The TQHA Sale Futurity(RG2) is held each July at Retama Park during the TQHA Yearling Sale weekend.

Among recent graduates to the annual yearling sale are the last three winners to the $1 million dollar Heritage Place Futurity(G1) at Remington Park, champion Duponte ($921,237), Nymeria ($495,147) and Sunnsyde ($434,961 at 2, 2018).

Consignors are urged to contact the TQHA office for consignment contracts.
